The structure of Ghizer District is like a Valley type like other regions of GilgitBaltistan, high mountains and land on the both sides and river in between, the river comes from the melting glaciers. On thing is very important say here is the river of Ghizer is very clean and blue in whatever season it flows. it never gets dirty like other regions like Skardu river and Hunza river which brings mud in the summers.
I had an experience of going to Ghizer District in Autumn 2017, when Masood Khan a cousin and a childhood friend made a plan to visit GilgitBaltistan in October. He came from Qatar and i was in here in Rawalpindi, we went to Hunza met our families and friends, stayed there for couple of days and explored Hunza and Gilgit for a while, and than we made a plan with some other friends of ours to go either to Skardu District or to Ghizer. finally we made a decision for Ghizer. We had a Van full of food, tents and other accessories and traveled to Ghizer. we had shortage of time so we decided to go to one side of Ghizer, although Ghizer has three main regions, one is Ishkuman side, second is Yasin region and the third one is the Gulakhmoli/Phander region respectivley. it was three days trip and it took a whole day to reach Yasin, the night had fallen, hence we decided to stay in the first village of Yasin which is called (Noh). The very next morning we traveled towards Phander valley. there were some breath taking spots and places where we rested, Ghopis ,Khalti lake, and than the most and very beautiful Phander, we crossed Phander and went to Ghulakhmoli. we wanted to go farther but the van didn't supported us, because the road was not good from there towards the Shandur, we had to come back to Phander and make our camp there. The night went in serenity, what a peaceful night it was. next morning we woke up and went for hiking, the weather was awesome and the colors of autumn were magical. in the after noon we turned back towards Gilgit, on the way we met a friend in Singal village. Overall the people of Ghizer are very friendly and good hosts.
We spent three Days and two nights in Ghizer District, and made life time memories, i decided to go Ghizer again in come time, but in a different season, may be in summer of spring.
